Barbara Bull Memorial Cemetery Walk
Join the Western Sonoma County Historical Society for the annual Barbara Bull Memorial Cemetery Walk. The event includes supper, cemetery walk with six performances of historical vignettes, dessert and coffee.
The evening begins at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church located at 500 Robinson Road in Sebastopol where you'll enjoy a supper of soup, salad, antipasto, and bread. After supper, your group will be lead to Sebastopol Memorial Lawn Cemetery by a tour guide. At the Cemetery your tour guide will lead you through the luminary-lit route of six former Sebastopol residents and introduce each vignette which include:
John C. Shelley - a Civil War Veteran and prisoner of war at Richmond's Libby Prison
The Reverend George E. Atkinson - Circuit Rider in northern California and minister of the Congregational Church
Vana Lawson - Kashia Pomo healer and educator
William H. Baitey - responsible for the formation of the Sebastopol Volunteer Fire dept. when the city was incorporated in 1902
George J. Ragle - descendant and one of the 72 heirs to the Ragle Ranch estate
Ruby Spooncer - Children's librarian at the Sebastopol Carnegie Library
The evening ends with homemade apple crisp dessert, coffee, and tea at the historic Burbank Gold Ridge Farm Cottage. Your tour guide will lead you back to the Church parking lot and your car. The evening's show is approximately two hours in length.

Bring a flashlight! Not suitable for guests with difficulty walking as there is a lot of walking on uneven cemetery grounds and stairs. Kids under 16 will not find much to entertain them.
