The Sebastopol Cajun Zydeco Festival is all about end of the summer fun. The main attraction that brings people from all over is the zydeco music and of course the dancing which goes on non stop all day long from 11am to 7pm. There is a decent assortment of food and drinks, and of course they have crawfish and jambalaya. The atmosphere is light and fun and there is no reason to feel intimidated if you do not know how to dance Cajun style. If you are feeling a little shy, the Sebastopol Cajun Zydeco Festival features free dance lessons in between sets, almost evey one participates. Additionally peole come from miles around to come to Sebastopol and cut rug and indeed they do. So just hanging out and watching people expertly dance can be entertaining on it's own.
The Sebastopol Cajun Zydeco Festival also has many things for keep kids entertained. Jumpies and other rides are available.

2008 will be the first year the Cajun Zydeco Festival will be at Ives Park instead of the Community Center.
The Cajun Zydeco Festival also has plenty of kid friendly activities, from a rock climbing wall to jumpies and more.
