Cajun Zydeco Festival
The Sebastopol Cajun Zydeco Festival has that end of summer "eat, drink, and be merry" vibe. The main attraction that brings people from all over is the zydeco music and the dancing which goes on non-stop all day long from 11:30 am to 7 pm. There is a decent assortment of food and drink and, of course, they have crawfish and jambalaya. The atmosphere is light and fun and there is no reason to feel intimidated if you do not know how to dance Cajun style. If you are feeling a little shy, the Sebastopol Cajun Zydeco Festival features free dance lessons in between sets, almost everyone participates. People come from miles around to Sebastopol and cut a rug, and indeed they do. So just hanging out and watching people expertly dance to the high energy music can be entertaining on it's own.
The Sebastopol Cajun Zydeco Festival will be held at Ives Park this year. There's a city playground in the park for the kids.
No outside food, beverages, coolers, large bags, alcohol, drugs, bottles, cans, or pets allowed.
Only service animals are allowed at the festival.
