Cloverdale Old Time Fiddle Festival
The Cloverdale Old Time Fiddle Festival is a classic example of simpler times in Sonoma County. Folks come from far and wide to participate, and national level players show to up to strut their stuff.
Contestants are split up into age groups and compete for medals. The contestants go on stage and play a series of tunes with accompanists who typically play rhythm guitar. Judges at the Cloverdale Fiddle Festival sit in a completely different room and cannot see the contestants. A mike feed is connected so they can hear.
Of special note is the jam area where contestants, or just folks with instruments, have a jam session. Some great moments can happen at any time, so it's totally worth it to just hang out and watch it all unfold.
Vending area with all sorts of related items. Food and drink booth.
