Katmandu Fall Festival
2011 UPDATE - At new location - Veterans Memorial Hall Sonoma, CA (2 blocks North of Sonoma Plaza)
The Katmandu Fall Festival is one of Sonoma County's mellowest, down to earth festivals. Situated in Sonoma's Depot Park, the Katmandu Fall Festival has plenty of parking and is a short walk away from the Sonoma Square.
The scene is way laid back and peaceful as festival goers mill about the marketplace and food selections. There is a small stage for performances. Grab something to eat and sit in the shaded grassy area and kick back and enjoy the alternative style entertainment. Various people are practicing body work, yoga and alternative healing methods. And of course since it is a Sonoma event there is a nice wine bar.
The Katmandu Fall Festival is a great excuse to come to Sonoma and just enjoy the exquisite fall weather while enjoying the tranquil surroundings.
The Katmandu Fall Festival is a benefit for the Children's Medical Aid Foundation.
A showcase of traditional food, music & dance of Nepal, Tibet and India. A mellow market places has food, carpets, antiques, clothing and imported items.
Worth Noting: there are 53 Sherpa’s living in Sonoma and 125 in Santa Rosa.
The Katmandu Fall Festival is kid friendly and Sonoma Depot Park also has a small playground for kids to play in. Overall a very safe environment.
