Kendall Jackson Heirloom Tomato Festival
The Kendall Jackson Heirloom Tomato Festival is a charitable event supporting the School Garden Network of Sonoma County. The sprawling culinary garden at Kendall Jackson has over 170 varieties of heirloom tomatoes picked fresh from K-J's culinary garden.
The Kendall Jackson Heirloom Tomato Festival features most of Sonoma County's best chefs creating all sorts of gourmet wonders with heirloom tomatoes. There are countless tasting booths to go to. Furthering the culinary experience is Food & Wine Magazine's Best New Chef's Challenge, where top wine country chefs battle it out for top honors.
The Kendall Jackson Heirloom Tomato Festival also has a live music stage, wine education seminars, and tomato inspired art.
Tickets go on sale in May and get snapped up fast.
The Kendall Jackson Heirloom Tomato Festival definitely has an upscale feel to it, yet it's not pretentious. The food and Kendall Jackson Wines pair well and make for a very memorable experience. Many of the chefs pull out all the stops to create something new or with a new slant with tomatoes.
The live music is always first rate.
