"Go Green and X-treme" is this year's theme at the annual Luther Burbank Rose Parade and Festival held in downtown Santa Rosa. The festivities pay tribute to Luther Burbank, the pioneer of agricultural science who lived and worked in Sonoma County thoughout his long career. The Luther Burbank Rose Parade and Festival includes food booths, live entertainment, and activities for adults and kids alike. This year learn how to help save the planet in the "Green Zone" while kids enjoy activities including face painting, games, clowns, a climbing wall, slides and more. Festival includes the Rose Bloom Competition at Luther Burbank Home and Gardens. Parade starts at the Santa Rosa Veterans Building and winds its way downtown.
