Santa Rosa Sing Along Messiah
The Santa Rosa Sing Along Messiah aka the Redwood Empire Sing Along Messiah is the longest running in the United States. As tradition has it, folks gather round at the Santa Rosa High School Auditorium every December and join in on this long standing Sonoma County custom.
The festivities are lead by the well tempered 100 voice Santa Rosa Symphonic Chorus lead by Maestro Dan Earl. Maestro Earl originally was a singer in the first Redwood Empire Sing Along Messiah back in 1977 and has been Choral Director and leader even since. The Santa Rosa Symphonic Chorus is joined by Baroque Sinfonia lead by Orchestral Conductor Nicholas Xenelis who teaches music at SSU and the Santa Rosa Junior College.
The soloists in the Santa Rosa Sing Along Messiah are regional and national level talent that truly add that special touch, which takes the overall presentation to a new level. The Santa Rosa Sing Along Messiah is well worth going to. It's just the right thing to do to get you into the holiday spirit!
