Sebastopol Celtic Music Festival
The Sebastopol Celtic Festival is a laid back yet top quality celebration of Celtic and world music. Musicians from all over the globe come to perform at this special event. For instance fiddle player Martin Hayes and slide guitarist Dennis Cahill have been a festival crowd pleasing favorite going on 15 years. To watch them play and interact is an experience I will never forget. The Sebastopol Celtic Festival is live instrumental music at it's best. Celtic and some wold musicians often play a night show on Friday or Saturday and then another show during the day on Saturday or Sunday, so there's two opportunities to catch them. Local concert producer Cumulus Presents does an excellent job on scouting talented musicians and performers.
The Sebastopol Celtic Festival takes place over 3 days starting with opening night on Friday. Saturday is when the main part of the festival starts. Celtic dancing demonstrations, vending, period actors and of course music on the main stage. Then there is a separate concert on Saturday night and the festival wraps up on Sunday at 5:30
Watch performers from all over the world at this year's Sebastopol Celtic Music Festival. A Sonoma County favorite, this festival brings together Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill (Slide) from Ireland and US, Cara Dillon from Quebec, Genticorum from Spain, and Vasen from Scotland, to name a few. Whether you attend a one day performance, or spend the whole weekend at the event, the Celtic Music Festival provides a unique experience.
