Books as Art Youth Workshop at Sonoma Valley Museum of Art
Every Summer the Sonoma Valley
Museum of Art puts on a series of youth workshops. These workshops are a fun way for children to learn about art while creating it. It's a great interactive educational experience!
In the Books as Art workshop, children will make charming artist books. They will learn the basic structures and stitches that every book artist, young and old, should know. The workshop will use recycled and quality Japanese papers. Once the book is completed, each child will be able to fill the pages with pen drawings, personal stories, and tiny collages.
Two session times are available for the workshop:
The morning session (9:00 - 11:00 a.m.) is for ages 6 - 8, and it's $60 per child.
The afternoon session (1:00 - 4:00 p.m.) is for ages 9 - 12, and it's $75 per child.
