Graphic Illustration Youth Workshop at Sonoma Valley Museum of Arts
Every Summer the Sonoma Valley
Museum of Art
puts on a series of youth workshops. These workshops are a fun way for children to learn about art while creating it. It's a great interactive educational experience!
In this workshop, children will follow in the footsteps of famed graphic artists and novelists and reinvent a classic fairy tale with their own imaginative twist on the characters and plot. They will compose a story and using ink and watercolor, create a set of descriptive drawings to tell the tale. The instructor, Jan Hansen, will guide the children through the entire process.
There are two sessions available for this workshop:
The morning session (9:00 - 11:00 a.m.) is for ages 6 - 8, and it's $60 per child.
The afternoon session (1:00 - 4:00 p.m.) is for ages 9 - 12, and it's $75 per child.
