Papier Mâché Sculpture Youth Workshop at Sonoma Valley Museum of Arts
Every Summer the Sonoma Valley
Museum of Art
puts on a series of youth workshops. These workshops are a fun way for children to learn about art while creating it. It's a great interactive educational experience!
In this workshop, children will be able to explore David Hockney's illustrations of Grimm's Fairy Tales. Then, participants will be able to work with a favorite character or one they create on their own. Participants will be able to design a three-dimensional fantastical figure, constructed in papier mache reinforced with threads and leaves. It will be finished with poetry and color.
There are two sessions available for this workshop.
The morning session (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) is for ages 6 - 8, and it's $60 per child.
The afternoon session (1:00 - 4:00 p.m.) is for ages 9 - 12, and it's $75 per child.
