Inspire your Young Chef with a 4-day Summer Camp at Ramekins
. Chef Lisa Lavagetto will take students on a culinary tour exploring regional cuisine and igniting culinary imaginations. Participants will learn hands-on cooking skills to take home and prepare healthy food for the entire family. Chef Lavagetto will teach the importance of fresh, local, seasonal ingredients, basic cooking terms, the importance of health and safety as well as many other skills and techniques necessary for the budding chef.
Curriculum Includes:
- Culinary Terms
- Calculating and Measuring Ingredients
- Using and Understanding Measuring Devices
- Making Handmade Pasta with Tomato Sausage Sauce
- Cheese Ravioli with a Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese Sauce
- Farmers Market Vegetable Salad and Fresh Ranch Dressing
- Mini Whoopie Pies
- Pans and Kitchen Tools
- Knives and Basic Cutting Techniques
- Fresh Vegetables with Creamy Onion Dip
- Making Shepherd Pie with Mashed Potatoes, Meat and Vegetables
- Seasonal Fruit Cobbler with Homemade Ice Cream
