Rosh Hashanah in Sebastopol - 2nd night
Sonoma Wine Shop is pleased to invite you to our next community dinner. To Be Held On the 2nd Night of Rosh Hashanah. A traditional dinner with vegetarian options for $27. Dinner is Challah bread, apples with honey, Kreplach Soup or Vegetable Noodle Soup, tzimmes, Kugel, Roasted Chicken or Beef Brisket or Stuffed Cabbage and a glass of wine. The dinner and ceremony will be hosted by Manus Monroe. Music generously provided by Gale Kissin and Suzanne Shanbaum and Rhona Findling. Gale Kissin, Yiddish folksinger, teamed up last year with noted guitar player Suzanne Shanbaum to work on their own interpretation of the rich, deeply moving tradition of Jewish music. They will be joined by percussionist Rhonda Findling. Musical selections for this special Rosh Hashanah event will be offered in Hebrew and Yiddish to honor our Old World roots to the present in celebration of Rosh Hashanah. Gale, (aka Gishe Reyzl), and her musical colleagues have performed with enthusiastic response at various events in the area. Come join us!
