If you like lavender, you'll love the Sonoma Lavender Festival. The event takes place on a 5-acre lavender farm in picturesque Sonoma Valley, surrounded by mountains and vineyards. The first thing that hits you as you enter the festival grounds is the intoxicating smell of lavender. When you start walking through the lavender fields you are completely enveloped with the distinct and soothing smell of lavender all around you. Calming music pipes through the air and a sudden sense of calm comes over you. What's also nice about the festival is you can choose to cut your own lavender as you walk in the sea of purple goodness.

There are also many other activities at the Sonoma Lavender Festival, including educational demonstrations from how to grow lavender to it's medicinal uses via aromatherapy. A craft pavilion, day spa, plant sale, hundreds of lavender handcrafted products as well as lavender art are also available to view and/or purchase. There is even lavender cuisine prepared by Lise Hemenway of FRESH, enjoy lavender with grilled chicken, lavender lemonade, and much more. Music provided by Nate Lopez.
