Description:
The Santa Rosa Symphony will be presenting "Fire and Ice' at the Wells Fargo Center on November 12th through the 14th. David Carlson's song cycle, with libretto by American poet Susan Kinsolving, provides a perfect vehicle for the superb soprano Marie Plette. Then, picture the vast, snowy landscapes of Sibelius' Finnish homeland as Albanian violinist Tedi Papavrami performs a romantic concerto reminiscent of Aurora Borealis light. A brooding, darkly beautiful symphony completes this celebration of the mysterious natural world.
