Percussionist Mickey Hart, formerly one of the dual drummers in psychedelic rock stalwarts The Grateful Dead, is beating a pathway into Healdsburg with his new group, The Mickey Hart Band.
Hart has long studied and collected percussion and even helped invent a couple of percussive instruments with the Dead in the ’80s. The new Band has a "cosmic nature" (Mickey has reportedly been working alongside NASA for the past few years to sample signals of light waves from transmitters around the world) with new percussion heavy, sound vibration inspired songs. Some of those old great Dead songs may just vibrate through the show, too.
