Traditional Style Bluegrass is alive and well in Petaluma!
Every Thursday night, at the Willowbrook Ale House
in Petaluma, one of the best of the traditional bluegrass bands around delivers the goods. Starting at 6:45PM and playing until 9:30PM with a few breaks for food and socializing - Bluegrass lives!
A core group of Ed Neff, Mike Wilhoyte, Jeff King, Paul Shelasky, and Larry Cohea (with George Goodell on the first Thursday of every month sitting in for Larry) BUT you never know who might show up from where. This is an internationally known venue and a stop on many Bluegrass travelers itinerary, frequently guest performers show up and sit in for a tune or two. It's always a great evening of exciting music, new friends and BIG fun.
Owners Gary and Bob want to extend the invitation to all lovers of Bluegrass and have vowed to keep it No Cover charge for as long as they can (12 years so far)
Good food, reasonably priced drinks, neighborhood bar sceneĀ and the Best of the West Traditional Bluegrass.
Oh! And there areĀ 75-cent pool games and sports on the TV's.
