The musicians of Zepparella came together through a common passion for the music of Led Zeppelin. Armed with the desire to incorporate the vocabulary of their heroes into their own, they decided to dive into the music.

Calm & Chaos was formed in November of 2008 in order to play a benefit for Shannon Boaz’ fight against Leukemia. While the members of the band had known each other for many years it was the first time they had collectively played together.

Individually the members of the band have played every Bay Area venue from the Fillmore to the Wells Fargo Center. They have logged many miles of touring the states, and received airplay on Live 105 and Alice Radio in former and current bands Frobeck, Headboard, UNoMyName, The Dangs, The Caroline Movement, OUNoU, and Five Alarm. Drummer Jason Boaz has also spent time smacking the drums behind touring legends The Beach Boys.
