Additional Information
Mornings in the park can be cool, windy, and foggy. It's best to wear layers, including long sleeves and pants. Wearing sturdy boots is also important for the hike. As the day goes on, the weather may change, so it's best to bring a hat and some sunscreen.
This event isn't catered, so it's important to bring enough food and water for your entire party. Also, there aren't restrooms along the hiking trail. But there is a restroom at the starting location of the hike.
There are a few items that aren't essential, but they're helpful. Walking sticks and trekking poles are convenient to have on the hike. Binoculars are also nice if you plan to look at wildlife as you hike.
Children are welcome to come along on the hike. However, the terrain is too rugged for most strollers, so it's best to bring older children along.
Dogs are also allowed on the hike. They need to be on a six foot leash for the hike. The path that the hike will take does have tall grasses in certain places, and these grasses may contain fox tails.
No reservation is required for the hike.
