Sugo Trattoria
Sugo Trattoria is the newest dining hotspot in downtown Petaluma and sets the standard for modern Italian comfort food; where Old World meets new. Taking its cue from the traditional Italian Trattoria, the menu offers a seasonal approach to Italian food, utilizing local ingredients and wine country sensibilities. The wine list offers a quaint selection of local & Italian wines sold by the glass or bottle. The ambiance has an urban feel with sleek wine country interiors, mellow lounge music and a casual atmosphere.
Start your meal with Sugo Trattoria's acclaimed Bruschetta Trio, where slices of artisan Ciabatta bread are grilled and topped with delectable blends of fresh ingredients. When ordering the trio you choose 3 different fusions; for a traditional bruschetta choose the “Classic” Tomato Basil & Pesto, or mix it up by throwing in slices topped with Prosciutto, Fig & Brie, or the Goat Cheese with Olive Tapenade.
Follow this up with the most popular dish at Sugo, the Butternut Squash Risotto with Sage, Gorgonzola and Pine Nuts. Or choose the “ever-changing” ravioli that chef/owners Peter & Annette White prepare daily from scratch. The eggplant, goat cheese and toasted walnut with tomato-pesto sauce is a special treat! For the perfect finish, order the homemade lemon panna cotta with a mixed puree. This truly is Mangiare Bene!
Every day at lunch you can choose any wine from the list for just $5 a glass. Or visit on a Tuesday night for “Tapino Tuesdays”, $5 appetizers and $5 glasses of domestic and Italian wine. Buonissimo!
