Syrah Bistro
Syrah Bistro set up shop in Santa Rosa's Railroad Square in 1999, and still continues to serve some of Sonoma County's best fare. Syrah Bistro chef/owner Josh Silvers focuses on sophisticated California comfort food crossed with international flavors, and if you're game it's well worth letting the chef do the driving with Syrah's what's-fresh-at-the-market-tasting menu. Syrah's a la carte menu offers playful renditions of classics like foie gras and sweetbreads, and entrees with locally sourced meat, fish, and produce. Syrah Bistro has an extensive wine list focused primarily on the best Sonoma and Napa wines, and some hard to find bottlings from Rochioli, Alban, Turley and others.
