Freestone Vineyards is a new, much-anticipated winery from Napa Valley's Joseph Phelps Vineyards that features Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from 100 acres of estate vineyards in the Sonoma Coast appellation in west Sonoma County. Freestone Vineyards features two labels, Freestone and Fogdog.
Notables: Joseph Phelps is the construction magnate who started Hensel Phelps construction and started his eponymous Napa Valley winery in Napa Valley in the 1970s. Now he dives headlong into the highly competitive Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir scene with Pinots ranging in price from $40-75.
