Robert Young Estate Winery
Robert Young Estate Winery is unique because of its family history and commitment to the local area, more specifically Alexander Valley. Without pioneers like the Young's who knows if we would have as many acres committed to grapes as we do here.
Robert Young Estate Winery is known for their own chardonnay clone around the world, this winery has always been on the cutting edge of rootstock, pruning, and everything else having to do with the vines. The Young's were the first to plant cabernet sauvignon in Alexander Valley, in 1969. Currently, other than Napa, Alexander Valley is the most sought after appellation for Cabernet fruit in California.
The Robert Young Winery has more history to it than people realize, which makes it unique. Its also a beautiful location to visit with the surrounding vineyards, the historic buildings, and their wine caves, not to mention the helpful staff that is always willing to spend time talking about their premium wines and history of the Young's.
