April in Carneros
Enjoy the beautiful grapevine-covered hills of southern Sonoma County at the annual April in Carneros, a two-day celebration of this special appellation that bridges Sonoma and Napa counties. What makes Carneros unique among Sonoma County appellations is the cool maritime influence it enjoys from the San Pablo Bay, making Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, among others, the star grapes here. April in Carneros has more than 20 participating wineries on both sides of the Wine Country divide, Napa and Sonoma, who will treat guests to offerings including food and wine pairings, live entertainment, barrel, reserve, vertical, and library wine tastings and more. $40 fee for the weekend includes souvenir logo glass.
April in Carneros is a great event to be able to run into winemakers, growers, and principles of these wineries that you might not during a normal visit. The vibe is totally laid back and some of the wineries have live music and goodies to munch on.
