Description:

The Sonoma Red & White Ball is one of my favorite events in all of Sonoma County. If you're a local, your going to love it. If you are visiting, you are going to love it even more! The Sonoma Red & White Ball is a true sample of the local spirit around here. In short, genuine, friendly and a lot of good clean fun! If I had to pick one event to give you a sample of what Sonoma County is all about, it would be this event.

The whole affair from start to finish is very casual, just make sure to wear something red or white, c'mon, get into the spirit of things! Things start out by sauntering around sampling fine food and wine. It's all quite tame, civilized and in a word, nice. The historic Sonoma Plaza has a nice open feel to it, while noshing on the goodies offered one can't help but feel that life is good. Add to the fact that there are many fun loving locals around and conversation is effortless, if not down right fun and entertaining. I've never met so many fun loving people in one place, not wild, crazy, stupid fun, just genuine good clean fun; I don't know how else to explain it. Bottom line, good vibes, great people and great food and drink....and that's just the beginning.

As the day goes on and night falls, the Red & White Ball kicks it up a couple of notches when the music starts to play. People are even looser than they were earlier in the day. Everyone has a good buzz on and then something seems to take over, it's like the party gods are smiling on this event and the whole thing busts wide open. People start dancing, cutting loose and whooping it up, big time. And as you observe this transformation a big smile comes across your face, there it is again, you think to yourself, life is good!

And just when you think you are at the peak of the night, it kicks up a notch and then another. The next thing you know, people are getting up on stage and dancing with the band! You're smiling so much you think your face is going to crack.

Come as you are, bring a sweater for the night time. You're going to have a blast. I promise.
