Green Music Center

The Donald and Maureen Green Music Center, located on the Sonoma State University campus, is set to officially open on Saturday, September 29, 2012. This world-class complex features a 1,400-seat performance hall, recital hall, music education hall, and restaurant.

The heart of the center is the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Hall which is acoustically designed to rival great venues such as Boston Symphony Hall and Vienna Musikvereinssaal. All three floors of the hall feature acoustically neutral beech maple seats.

Schroeder's Recital Hall, the smaller and more intimate of the halls features seating for 250. Drawing inspiration from European churches, this is sure to be an amazing space for aspiring performers to show their talent.

The Music Education Hall fosters a place for musicians of all levels to fine tune their skills in one of the many practice rooms.

Prelude, the onsite restaurant, offers exquisite dining on concert nights and is also available for events. Executive Chef Eric Malvestiti, uses seasonal locally grown foods to create culinary masterpieces
ranging from buffets to plated dinners to passed appetizers.

The Green Music Center is unlike any other venue on the West Coast and is sure to become one of the most sought-after music and arts venues in the world. Don't miss the opportunity to experience its grand opening on Saturday, September 29, 2012 with a performance by internationally acclaimed pianist Lang Lang in Weill Hall.

Subscription tickets for performances will go on sale Sunday, March 25, 2012. Single tickets will go on sale beginning in July 2012.
